sachavonkarl74 Californian duo hailing from sunny Los Angeles, they play demonic black metal reminiscent of the second wave following the guidelines of the Norwegian founders. Full of hatred and blasphemy, this first full-length is somewhat more traditional than their later release, thus worth having for fans of the frost-bitten true BM Scandinavian era. All great tracks, a bit too similar to one another maybe, no real fav. Favorite track: Under The Infernal Reign, Op. 10.

Choco Latte You'd swear Cultus Profano were from any of the coldest countries of Europe that produce the finest black metal. Nope. Not even close. Who would've thought sunny Los Angeles would compare. But it certainly does. Favorite track: Ceremony Of The Black Flame, Op. 4.

Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass). Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended. Rabbit

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days.
